The white, black and gold Vinton-Shellsburg Christmas tree created by the Vinton-Shellsburg cooks has so far been the tree with the highest silent bid at the VGH Holiday Tree Walk.
The cooks used mostly home-made ornaments with black and gold, and the V-S logo to decorate the white tree. As of Wednesday morning, the high bid for this tree was $300.
Residents are welcome to stop by during business hours to see the trees, and make a bid. One more tree has been added; donated by the Mossman family.
Bidding continues through Monday for the 20 trees involved in the first Holiday Tree Walk, which is expected to become an annual event. See a story and the other trees HERE.
