News : Bake Sale for Yvonne a Success

Once again, Vinton stepped up, in a big way to help one of our own. When word got around that there would be a bake sale to lend a hand to Yvonne Zimpfer who is battling cancer, the folks in her circle of friends rallied the troops and held a combination bake sale an auction. Jessica Yerkes said, "I would like to tell the town of Vinton, "Thank you for all your overwhelming support yesterday for Yvonne's bake sale. Thank you to everyone who donated baskets and other things for the silent auction. The auction brought in a crazy $1,490.00 along with the Be the Change Fitness Group who raised $460.00 and the bake sale with a mind blowing $3,975.00+(without card donations). I think Vinton did pretty great. JOB WELL DONE EVERYONE?" She couldn't have said it any better, Vinton in the best!
