Friday and Saturday evenings saw Santa visiting the children in the small town of Brandon...well, Santa and Mrs. Claus I should say. Along with a couple elves that were there to help, they had visits from all ages. The festival included a mini Christmas tree auction, wreath, gift basket and tree auctions.

There were also gingerbread house judging and tree decorating contests for the community to enjoy.

The traditional hay ride was also taking place for a chilly but fun night to drive through town to see the Christmas lights. There was fresh popped Kettle corn, hot chocolate, coffee and cookies to be had by all of the guests as well. The two area churches hosted various activities, soup suppers and singer on both evenings. The Union Carolers also entertained folks in the community center in Brandon as well. Saturday morning found elves helping children to purchase and wrap gifts for members of their family with a little shopping spree in the Jefferson Township hall. That's always fun to watch the children shop and wrap their gifts. If you missed the activities this year, be sure to watch for it next year!
