A place to see-da river, a bad play on words, but a new lookout at Riverside Park is being created

I grew up in Vinton at the time of the famous "Bell" located at Riverside Park, so when I pulled up looking for something completely different I was surprised to see the many projects underway at Riverside Park.

There was a group installing a hand pump for drinking water, a cement base has been poured and is curing, this will be made into a look out over the river, a climbing wall is also in progress from the old wood used in the former "Castle" then there was the boring things being done like filling in along the edges of the new playground.

It's exciting to see the new face of Vinton in things like our parks. If you haven't been to Riverside Park lately, load up the kids and head out!

Hats off to Vinton's Parks and Recreation!
