Starting on Monday, August 12, parking on the south side of 4th Street between C Avenue and A Avenue will be closed as crews continue to install the main line for the new fiber network.
After that portion is complete, parking on 4th St between A Avenue and 2nd Avenue on the South side will be closed.
This is just a temporary situation as parked cars can cause interference with the equipment necessary to run the main line.
Crews will work as quickly as possible to finish this critical part of the new fiber network.
Weather permitting the plan is to complete the C Ave to A Ave section on Monday and begin A Ave to 2nd Ave on Tuesday.
