The Supervisors meeting started with the usual conversation from the supervisors but one of them, Tracy Seeman said, "You would not believe the people that I've had to pull out of the dirt road this weekend!" Then he listed 3 one day, 4 another, and no one understood why. Until the end of the meeting.
As the meeting moved further down the agenda, as the various department heads came in, it was discovered when the secondary roads discussion took place that GPS has started sending drivers headed toward Cedar Rapids from Highway 218, to 72nd St., which is a dirt road, no gravel, just dirt.
As most of you know, when you take a car down a dirt road that has had rain like we've had this past week, it is technically a mud road.
IGNORE SIRI!
Follow the pavement, or as the supervisors said, just follow the detour signs. Go through Newhall or Van Horne to get back to Highway 30.
Your travel will be delayed if you listen to Siri!
