News : Benton County Sheriff's Office Patrol Division December Report

Benton County Sheriff Randall Forsyth reports that deputies answered 262 calls for service and investigated 13 accidents. Deputies attempted to serve 178 civil papers and issued 22 traffic citations and 52 traffic warnings.

There were 28 arrests/juvenile referrals with 33 charges being filed in December 2010.

(14) were simple misdemeanors, (16) were indictable misdemeanors, and (3) were felony charges. Charges included: OWI – 4; warrants served – 9; Assault – 6; Public Intoxication – 1; Drug Related – 3; Criminal Mischief – 1; Possession of Alcohol Under Legal Age – 5; Theft – 2; Interference With Official Acts – 1; Trespass - 1.
