News : Jared Rude, former Benton County State Trooper in need of Prayer and Support

Jared Rude an Iowa State Trooper formerly serving Benton County is in need at this time

Jared Rude a former Iowa State Trooper assigned to Benton and Tama Counties suffered a fall at his home last week resulting in a traumatic head injury.

Jared served alongside his dad Gregg who was also a State Trooper that was assigned to Benton County in the '80s. In the picture below, the two are shown at the last Iowa Football detail that Gregg served on and Jared's first. Gregg's badge number at the time was 369 and Jared 96. After Gregg retired, Jared became 369.

Jared is currently in the ICU. The family said. "The outpouring of support has been very much appreciated by our family. Many people have asked us what they can do to help. At this point, there isn't a lot we need materially, but all the good vibes and prayers that can be had would help."

Jared is the Godson of Tom and Lisa Boeckmann of Vinton. Lisa shared the following, "Jared is a person who serves his community every day as a trooper with the Iowa State Patrol. He is active in his community and is a great father, husband, and friend. Below are ways you can donate to help the family but mostly I am asking all my prayer warrior friends to continue to pray for Jared and his family. I'm asking you to be "all in" as you pray - Jared's giving it all and I am committing to giving it 100% will you join me?'

While Jared isn't currently serving in our area, we do know that several in our community know and love this family.
