On Friday night, a driver traveling eastbound in the 2500 block of 61stSt. Lane, Vinton, swerved to miss a deer that ran into the roadway.
The driver crashed into the northeast ditch at the intersection of 26th Ave.and 61st St. Lane.
The driver was transported to the Virginia Gay Hospital by ambulance. Madorin's towed the vehicle out of the ditch.
