News : Vinton Fire Department Thanks Community

As we near Thanksgiving and a time to reflect on the blessings we all enjoy in our lives (and despite 2020, most of us have far more to be thankful for than we may admit at first), VFD wants to offer the deepest thanks to those who attended and supported our Vinton Fire Department Chili Supper - 2020 Special Edition!This was our only fundraising opportunity of 2020 after having to cancel both our primary fundraisers (Fish Fry and Pancake Breakfast) and we truly had no idea what to expect. We served approximately 500 bowls of chili last Thursday! We all thoroughly enjoyed the challenge that came with presenting an event like this safely and the interesting difference of a drive-through event.Special thanks to our donors: John's Qwik Stop, Fareway Stores, Greg Turnis, and Windsor Manor in Vinton! Please support these local businesses that don't hesitate to support our community! Hopefully, 2021 will see us having you all back at the Fire Station enjoying fish, pancakes and time together as a community
