The Annual Christmas Dinner looked a little different this year. Beginning in 2014 the Vinton Presbyterian Church began offering a Christmas dinner to area residents. Designed to meet a need in the community for socializing on the Christmas holiday for those alone or to lend a hand to those in need over the holidays, the church found a way to do that with their Christmas dinner. This year chss as need the face of the gathering.

"While we will really miss the connectedness that the in-person dining provides, we know this is still an important mission," said Rev. Jessica Crane Munoz. "Perhaps more than ever, people need both food and joy this Christmas. There are so many folks who are living with food insecurity and so many seniors in our community who are alone this holiday."

The church served 211 meals this year a little below the 240 number from last year. The meals were picked up or delivered due to the COVID pandemic.

Just another reason Vinton is the best, thanks Vinton Presbyterians!
