Dentist Sara Stueffen invited the Tilford Elementary students to her Vinton clinic last month, during Dental Month, so they could learn more about how a dentist can help them take good care of their teeth.

But on the day of their planned visit, school was delayed because of fog. The visit was rescheduled to last week, when the Mrs. Mathis 1M class visited. Other classes also toured the clinic, with a few students sitting in the patient's chair.

Stueffen and her assistants showed the students how she fills cavities, and how the computer helps document a patient's teeth. She encouraged them to brush twice each day and sent toothbrushes home with them.
