News : Meet Vinton's New Librarian

Hello, Vinton residents! My name is Renee Greenlee. I am very excited to be in this new role as the director of Vinton Public Library. I previously worked at Marion Public Library as a Children's Librarian and earned my Master of Library Science in 2020. Currently, I live on the north side of Cedar Rapids with my husband, Chad, children, Ella and Wynn, and a zoo of pets.

I have many goals for Vinton Public Library and am working to make the library a welcoming place for everyone in the community. This includes providing programs for all ages and abilities, books for all interests and viewpoints, and an open atmosphere for patrons to find a comfortable place to read or gather. After the first of the year, we plan to ramp up our program offerings for adults, teens, and children. I hope everyone in the community will find something to engage them at Vinton Public Library!
