News : Knights of Columbus Tootsie Roll Drive

The Vinton Knights of Columbus would like to thank the local communities for their generous support of our 2021 Tootsie Roll Drive.  With your support, we were able to generate just over $2300 for support for the intellectually disabled.  This represents our most successful campaign ever.  On Thursday night, the Knights presented checks to Vinton Shellsburg United Special Olympics and the ARC of East Central Iowa for $1,035 each.  Additionally, another $230 was sent to the Iowa State Special Olympics.  The Knights covered all costs for the candy so every penny donated will go to support these programs.

The KCs would also like to thank Fareway, Roy's Grocers, Theisen's and Hy-Vee for graciously allowing us to run the drive from their stores.
