Vinton Unlimited has been making some exciting changes and improvements lately. If you haven’t checked out the VU website lately (www.vintonia.org) take a gander at the new pictures posted from around town and the 4th Annual Boomtown Vinton Fireworks Festival. We also have some exciting new videos on the website which were created as part of the Great Places proposal put together last year by a group of Vinton residents. Thank you to Erin Horst for creating these videos and also to Monkeytown for their help posting them on the website!

Are you ever looking for some information about a business in town and just don’t have the time to flip through the phonebook? Well, check out the “search” feature on the VU website. You can enter the business name or just a couple of letters of the business name and search for the contact information for that business. Many businesses even have a link that will take you directly to their website!

Looking to find out what’s going on around town and when it’s happening? The “calendar” tab on the VU website will give you a list of all kinds of activities and events taking place in the community throughout the year. If you have an event that you’d like people to know about, feel free to use the “Submit Event” button and let us know the details so everyone can take part. You may want to send a quick email or make a phone call to the VU office so we can approve the event and make sure it gets posted.

Remember to join Dollars for Scholars this Saturday, April 2nd and cheer on your favorite team during the Donkey Basketball game! The fun starts at 7pm at the Middle School gym and will be a huge hit for the entire family! This is a great way to show your support of the community and these specially trained donkeys will be sure to entertain! Check out the calendar on the VU website for more information.
