News : 5th Grade Boys Black Baseball Team raise funds by helping folks go Green

On Saturday, March 26th and Tuesday, March 29th, the 5th grade boys black baseball team “teamed up” with Fareway in selling re-useable green bags. All eleven players, along with many coaches and parents, helped educate the patrons of Fareway with reasons to “stay green”. In total, the players sold 325 bags and raised funds for needed equipment and tournament expenses. Fareway, in turn, donated ALL proceeds from the sale of the bags to the team. Manager Dave Kelchen, Fareway, is seen here presenting a check to Head Coach Stuart Overton, Asst. Coaches, and 5th grade players.
