NCCC team Maple 6 is working hard. They are making an undeniable impact at Flatrock YMCA camp in St. Paul, Indiana. Since stepping foot onto the Flatrock YMCA camp, this team is already able to see the effects of their hard work and it is sure to be seen by those who visit. This week, the team is busy clearing invasive species and brush around the camp to enhance the beauty of the grounds. In addition, Maple 6 is constructing fishing docks and digging trenches in preparation for the 12-person tree house that is another of the team’s projects.
Corps Members put their tool training to the test by successfully building a firebox for the camp staff. Moira Rose, Corps Member, feels that even though the work is strenuous and long they are getting things done regardless of the weather conditions. Maple 6 not only wears the “A” with pride but continues to inspire others through their service.
