As part of Vinton Unlimited's Chalk it Up event on Saturday, young Emry Welper, a local nine-year-old, thought that the sidewalk in front of LaGrange Pharmacy in downtown Vinton. Saturday morning he got out the chalk and added a bit of a patriotic touch to the sidewalk.

He drew a flag and a soldier saluting the flag along with the words "God Bless America" for his art selection

EJ is the son of Cory and Katelyn Welper.
