New Library Hours as of September 19

The Vinton Public Library will hold an open house to welcome new Library Director Kelly Henkle on September 29, from 4-6:00 p.m. at the Vinton Public Library from 4-6 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.

Starting on Monday, September 19, the library will be open at its regular schedule.

Mondays: 9 am-5 pm

Tuesdays: 9 am-6 pm

Wednesdays: 9 am-5 pm

Thursdays: 9 am-6 pm

Fridays: 9 am-4 pm

Saturdays: 9 am-Noon

The Library is located at 510 2nd Ave. in Vinton

AB September 17, 2022, 4:54 pm At this point the library has a long was to go to restore my trust in it. Light refreshments are not going to cut it. After the debacle the library board has made of things the last couple of years, I'm hesitant to trust anyone as library director who would actually take the job. The board needs to be replaced. Then we'll see about supporting the library again.

A public library is a vital, necessary service. But a board that actively sets out to cancel the dissemination of facts and crucial information to the community and children it serves does more harm than good, and will not receive my support.
