The Center Point Historical Society's annual Cemetery Walk took place on September 18 at the Center Point Cemetery.

Among this year's five subjects who "talked" were a WWII Navy veteran, Raymond Durow, who survived the sinking of his ship by the Japanese; a 19th Century farm wife, Rebecah Leonard Gilchrist, who didn't survive a danger much closer to home; and John Osborne, a teenage soldier who survived the Revolutionary War.

Costumed portrayers included left to right, Sammy McClure, CPU freshman; John Stuelke, CP city council and Historical Society member; David Wendell, Marion historian; Dr. Philip  Andersen, retired CP dentist and Historical Society president, Dr. DeEtta Andersen CPU science teacher; and Jon Brendel, CP military history buff.
