Riverside Park in Vinton and Rodgers Park northeast of Vinton were briefly filled with hundreds of people for the annual Easter Egg Hunt events.
The Vinton Kiwanis Club (and Windsor Manor residents) filled hundreds of eggs and club members placed them at Riverside Park for the event the club has been sponsoring annually for a half century or more on Saturay morning. The hunt began a minute or two after 10 a.m., and was over in a minute or two, as children quickly covered the park grounds, picking up eggs. The Easter Bunny was there for photos.
The Benton County Conservation Board and Ehlinger's Vinton Express sponsored the second event, at Rodgers Park. Fareway and McDonald's also donated. The Easter Bunny, and a couple of her baby bunnies, were there for photos, as well.
