I might be wrong, but it feels like this year the Christmas lights have been plentiful across Vinton.
Adding a new level of fun is the display at 1307 B Ave. in Vinton, it is one of the displays that you really need to see to appreciate. The kids will love this one! In addition to a singing Christmas tree, and flashing mini trees, there are also now two Christmas bulbs that occasionally pop up to sing lead in some of the songs. The display brings in several Christmas traditional songs as well as the Peanuts version of the Christmas story. To hear all of this, you'll need to tune your radio to 90.3 FM to appreciate the synchronized musical light display.
Kord Sellers says that the lights are on from about 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. He encourages everyone to drive by often because there are about 15 different songs that cycle through the light display. Eligible houses and businesses must be within the Vinton city limits. Registration to participate is free.
To register your home or business, CLICK HERE or stop by the Recreation Center at 701 A St East. Register by Sunday, December 4.
Registered addresses will be placed on our Deck the House voting form and map, which will go active on Friday, December 9 until Sunday, December 18.

The "Deck the House" voting form and map will be available on Friday, December 9 at vprdzone.com, or on the Vinton Parks and Recreation Department Facebook page, and at the Vinton Recreation Center located at 701 A St East.
Voting period: Friday, December 9 - Sunday, December 18.

Editor's Note: Because it was something not seen in Vinton before. I started it out as a stand-alone article and then thought, "Oh, I should add on the contest info so that people can see ALL the displays..."
