The Benton County supervisors walked through the Law Enforcement Center and the Emergency Management Agency Emergency Operations Center on Tuesday, where they saw workers putting on the finishing touches.

Next week, on May 18, the leaders plan to make their walk--through so they could give the contractors the "punch list" of details to finish or fix before the building can be declared completely finished and ready to use.

An open house is being planned for Saturday, June 11, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. County leaders are continuing to finalize plans and participants for that event, which will take place on the three-year anniversary of the flood that destroyed the old LEC and dozens of homes along the Cedar River in Vinton.
