Annabelle Newton 2022 Benton County Fair Queen crowns Izzie Birker the 2023 Fair Queen

Three young ladies submitted applications to become the next Benton County Fair Queen. Izzie Birker, Harlyn Heishusen and Kait Ballard.

As a representative for the Benton County Fair, the queen will assist with various contests and activities during the county fair this week as well as helping with other promotional activities.

Following the crowning the new Benton County Fair Queen will compete at Des Moines at the Iowa State Fair Queen contest during the Iowa State Fair.

The three candidates were judged during a personal and group interview on awareness; their leadership, citizenship, and contributions to their community; and their overall appearance, charm and poise.

The candidates decided among themselves who Miss Congeniality would be. Izzie Birker won this award from her fellow competitors. Named the First Runner-up was Kait Ballard and chosen to represent Benton County as the Fair Queen was Izzie Birker the daughter of Scott and Jenni Birker.
