News : Farmers Market to open season at Vinton Depot on Thursday, June 2

The Vinton Parks & Recreation Department is pleased to announce the opening night of the Vinton Farmers Market is this coming Thursday, June 2nd. The market will once again be held at the Vinton Rail Road Depot at 612 2nd Avenue from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursdays.

The market has been very fortunate to have some great vendors that bring fabulous products for everyone to purchase. The selection annually includes vegetables, fruits, baked goods, honey and crafts.

Each night there will be a grill cooking a hot supper for you to enjoy either from Merchants Grilling or the Benton County Cattleman.

This first week will feature Merchants Grilling cooking along with our annual Long Distance Balloon Contest. Also we are very happy to have the Schmidt Family Band back to perform their huge variety of songs starting at 5:00 p.m. If you haven’t had a chance to watch and listen to this group, you definitely want to mark your calendar to be at the depot on June 2nd.
