High School Band helps in Memorial Day Ceremony

The VSHS marching band joined Memorial Day activities in Vinton Monday. Here they are in action.

Vinton Shellsburg's band, came to the ceremonies this morning to help with the events. They marched in the short parade to the river, and band members Megan Jorgensen and Matt Lash played taps at cemeteries and the ceremonies throughout the morning.

DH May 31, 2011, 4:37 pm It was nice to see the band involved in the Memorial day activities.It is a shame they told the VIETNAM Veterans parade committee they COULDNT march for us.
