The Vinton-Shellsburg FFA Chapter recently held its annual Spaghetti Dinner event in the high school commons during a home basketball game on Tuesday, February 6th.

Both the High School and Middle School FFA members participated in serving meals, cooking food, cleaning, and greeting guests. The members served a delightful spread that included spaghetti, salad, cookies, and refreshing drinks. The food was prepared by the FFA members that started right after school.

As soon as they opened the door people started lining up to get their food. This was a free-will donation event, and all the donations collected were used to cover the expenses of the meal and fund future chapter activities.

The Vinton-Shellsburg FFA Alumni & Supporters Chapter made their debut after being chartered the week prior by hosting a membership drive to grow their roster. Sophomore member Andrew Allsup was one of the many members that helped cook the meal for the Spaghetti Dinner. He said "I really enjoyed Spaghetti Dinner, it's a great time to meet new people in the community and I had so much fun cooking and serving food with my friends. I would recommend that everyone goes to Spaghetti Dinner. It was such an amazing time and I think all members should help with these activities when they get the chance."

The chapter would like to extend their thanks to all the people who donated funds, in addition to the adult supervisors and members who helped to make this night possible. We appreciate all your support and help.
