News : Vinton-Shellsburg FFA Welcomes 2024-2025 Leadership Team

On April 1st, the Vinton-Shellsburg FFA Chapter had the conclusion of the yearly elections in the Ag Room of the high school. 14 candidates went through a multistage process including an evaluation of their applications, adult panel interview, and a student nominating committee interview.

During the meeting, each of the candidates gave a speech on why their fellow members should vote for them for the last portion of the scoring process. After all the scores were tallied, the new team was announced.

The newly elected officer team for the 2024-2025 year include Andrew Pingenot for President, Alana Fleming for Vice-President, Megan Schlitter for Secretary, Will McKenna for Treasurer, Izzie Birker and Sophia Newton for Co-Reporters, Zane Helter for Sentinel, and Bri Dulin for Officer at Large.

The April meeting was then adjourned and all of the members were able to participate in an Easter Egg Hunt. We are very proud of all of the candidates that ran and congratulate the new team, wishing them luck in this upcoming year!
