News : Benton County approves the hiring of Assistant County Attorney

Following the resignation of Benton County assistant attorney Tim Dille, the County Attorney's office was in need of a replacement.

Approval was given by the Benton County Supervisors on Wednesday to hire Attorney Alisha Stach-Lorang. Her work experience includes working in Dubuque, Linn and Blackhawk Counties. She comes with more than 25 years of experience. Currently employed in Blackhawk County, she is working in the County Attorney's Office in the Criminal Division prosecuting Felony/Child Endangerment charges.

She's tried almost 100 jury trials, and taught several classes for the Iowa County Attorney's Conference and mentored other young lawyers.

Her salary will be the same as former attorney Dille's at $122,797.20. The first day of work for Sach-Lorang in Benton County will be on June 3, 2024.
