News : Two escape injury in accident on Highway 150 Sunday

Drivers escaped serious injury in this two-vehicle accident on Highway 150 north of Vinton Sunday.

Emergency personnel check the drivers, who appeared to have escaped injury.

Two drivers escaped injury Sunday when their cars collided at the intersection of Highway 150 near the Vinton airport.

A driver in a red sedan said he was sideswiped by a pickup. Both cars ended up in the ditch on the corner of Highway 150 and 55th Street Drive, with the car ending on top of a concrete culvert. The accident occurred around noon on Sunday. The Benton County Sheriff's Office, Vinton Fire Department and North Benton Ambulance responded to the incident.

Deputies are investigating.
