News : Koob arrested racking up seven charges

Stephanie Koob of Vinton is under arrest after backing her vehicle into a Cedar Rapids Police car. She then led police on a high-speed chase through Cedar Rapids ending in her arrest.

Koobs failed to exit her vehicle when an officer investigating active warrants that were out for her arrest. She then backed into the police car causing $1,500-$10,000 in damages.

She then left the scene leading officers on a high speed chase exceeding the speed limit by at least 25 miles per hour or more.

For her efforts, she was charged with seven charges:

Eluding - speed 25 mph over the limit, second or subsequent charge, a Class C Felony

Criminal Mischief in the 2nd Degree, a Class D Felony

Two charges of Assault while displaying a dangerous weapon, an aggravated misdemeanor

Two charges of Possession of a controlled substance, 2nd Offense, an aggravated misdemeanor

Interference with official acts, a simple misdemeanor.
