A photo of the certified enrollment can be seen to the left. We are up 12.54 on the certified enrollment (weighted enrollment). Our BEDS enrollment is 1557, last fall it was 1551.
See the chart of the program/indicators or subgroups in the second and third photos. I'd like to highlight the large difference in the Free & Reduced Lunch numbers. This has to do with the fact we used the survey method during registration, rather than the traditional method of form application. The survey method is required for schools who utilize the Community Eligibility Provision to provide school breakfast and lunches to students. As a school district we are at 52% of students who are in one of these two aforementioned categories.

Post Prom- Iowa Bounce Pro Contract: The Post Prom Committee requests a contract with Iowa Bounce Pro to provide the "Radical Run" and "Log Slammer/Wipeout" games for the 2025 Post Prom on April 26-27 at the high school for $2,944.65.
Post Prom-Wand Entertainment Contract: The Post Prom Committee requests a contract with Wand Entertainment to provide a Hypnotist for the 2025 Post Prom on April 26-27 at the high school for $1,600 plus lodging.
Pool Lease Agreement: Contract to rent the Braille school pool for $55/hour.
Grant Wood AEA Staff Sharing Contract: This contract is to direct purchase 20% of Lynn Klienmeyer's school improvement consultant services contract from the AEA. Lynn has been assigned to serve our school district in the past. This is a new model the AEA is trying because of the legislative changes. Contracting in this manor will allow the AEA to charge us less per day for Lynn's services. We will utilize the designated AEA set aside to pay for this.
Terpstra Hoke and Associates Audit Service Contract: This contract is for auditing services for fiscal years 2025, 2026, and 2027.
Mrs. Coder sent requests for proposals (RFP) to five accounting firms: Terpstra; Eide Bailly, LLP; Nolte, Corman & Johnson, PC (NCJ); Cornwell, Frideres, Maher & Associates, PLC (CFMA); and Roof, Gerdes, Erlbacker, PLC (RGE). CFMA responded and declined, stating that their audit schedule was already filled for FY2025. Eide Bailly, NCJ, RGE did not respond.

3. Tiny Vikes Change Order - Approved the change order for the Tiny
Vikes project to return the contingency money of $326,707.06 to the
school district.
4. Middle School HVAC Project Change Order - Approved the change order in the amount of $47,180.155. Early Separation Submission Dates: The early separation plan is as follows:
Year 4- 2024-2025: 25% of wages & payout of sick leave.
Accepting early separation applications to Brenda Barkdoll beginning October 22, 2024 and closing November 15, at 3 pm.
Letters will be given to all those employees who are eligible for the separation package this week.
