News : Vinton-Shellsburg Fine Arts Century Club receives Donation

The Vinton-Shellsburg Fine Arts Century Club has received a gift of $1,000.00 from the estate of Esther Ann Hite. This gift has been directed through the Bethlehem Evandgelical Lutheran Church Congregation. We thank them for this gift.

The Fine Arts Century Club is a community-based organization whose mission is to provide primarily financial support to the fine arts programs at Vinton-Shellsburg high school and middle school. This is done by inviting persons and/or businesses to give any amount of financial support, but the $100.00 amount signifies membership with benefits. Contributions are tax-deductible. The Fine Arts Century Club is a part of 501(c)(3) Vinton Community Foundation.

Formed in 2007, the organization has a yearly membership of 40-45 units (singles, couples or businesses). We have provided thousands of dollars of financial assistance for small projects such as helping students participate in honor band events and large projects like the grand piano, new choir robes and band uniforms. This gift will help to continue providing financial assistance where sometimes the school budget falls short. We hope that this gift will be an example to others of how charitable gifts to the FACC can benefit students in the future.
