News : ACT 1\'s \'Brigadoon\' to open next Friday at VSHS auditorium

Many ACT 1 performers and volunteers will be especially busy this weekend as they prepare the set for the opening of Brigadoon next Friday. Director Jill g. Lockard-Bobb has planned two work days, for today and Saturday. Dress rehearsals begin Monday.

Brigadoon is a musical that tells the story of two Americans who wander into an unsual Scottish town, where one of them falls in love.

Lead characters

Molly Ternus graduated from Vinton-Shellsburg, then from Luther. Roger Pollack is a Benton Community graduate who recently earned his degree from Wartburg. The two joke about their "double rivalry" as they work on their song and dance routines during rehearsal.

Show times

The musical opens at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5, at the VSHS auditorium. Additional show times are 7 p.m. on Aug. 6, 12, and 13, and 2 p.m. on Aug. 7 and 14. For more show information, a complete cast listing and a tickets, visit www.act1.org.
