On Friday, June 7th, 2025, the Vinton-Shellsburg FFA officer team attended COLT (Chapter Officer Leadership Training) at Hawkeye Community College. This annual event brought together FFA chapter officers from across the Northeast District to build leadership skills, connect with one another, and prepare for the year ahead.

Throughout the day, officers participated in a variety of workshops focused on communication, teamwork, chapter planning, and creative leadership. Following the personal development sessions, officers split up by their individual positions to dive deeper into their specific roles. During these sessions, they learned valuable tools and resources to help them succeed in their positions and better serve their chapter throughout the year.

COLT gave the Vinton-Shellsburg officer team a strong start to the upcoming year, and they left with new ideas, energy, and a stronger bond as leaders.
