Human trafficking is a heartbreaking reality, and one that demands our attention every day, not just once a year. On World Day Against Trafficking in Persons on Wednesday July 30, 2025, we reaffirm our office's commitment to raising awareness and empowering Iowans to help put an end to this crime.
Through our Iowa Businesses Against Trafficking (IBAT) program, we're working to build a statewide network of businesses that are informed, equipped, and ready to be part of the solution.
Here are three ways you can help:
Learn something on the signs of human trafficking and how to report it.
Do something or Join/share IBAT with business owners in your community-membership is free and open to any Iowa business.
Use your voice and platform to help raise awareness and reach those who may be at risk.
Together, we can protect the vulnerable and take meaningful steps toward ending human trafficking in our state. Learn more at ibat.iowa.gov.
