Virginia Gay Nursing & Rehab is pleased to announce Cassity Havens as its new Activities Director.

Havens has been with Virginia Gay Hospital for 2.5 years as a Certified Nursing Assistant, where she provided direct care to patients and residents, assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, mobility, and more.

In her new position, Havens will design monthly activities calendars, coordinate special events, and create programs that engage residents in ways that support their physical, emotional, and social well-being. She is passionate about ensuring that residents' needs and interests are met while fostering a welcoming and vibrant community.

"I love knowing that I'm able to make real differences, whether it's something big or small," Havens said. "The relationships I get to build with our residents and their families mean so much to me."

Following in her grandmother's footsteps as a nurse, Havens was inspired to pursue a career caring for others. Her dedication and compassion have already made a lasting impact at Virginia Gay Nursing & Rehab, and the team is excited to see her continue to enhance residents' quality of life in her new role.
