The Benton County Fairgrounds roared to life one last time for Boomtown as it held its final show in 2025, capping off years of explosive tradition with an unforgettable night of fireworks, fun, and community spirit.

Known for drawing pyrotechnics enthusiasts from across the Midwest, this year's show was nothing short of spectacular. Crowds filled the fairgrounds. As the sun went down, the crowd eagerly awaiting the moment the night sky would be set ablaze. As always, the the show did not disappoint. The famous "Trainwreck" fireworks presentation included the sounds of trains roaring down the track. A sky-filling explosion did not disappoint.

But Boomtown 2025 wasn't just about the night show. Earlier in the day, downtown Vinton came alive with Boomfest, a family-friendly celebration that stretched along 4th Street. Vendors lined the streets with food, crafts, and unique finds. Children bounced their way through inflatable houses, parents browsed the booths in the downtown as the community soaked in the Boomtown fun.

As the evening show began at the fairgrounds, the crowd was treated to a dazzling display that blended precision and pure spectacle. Bursts of gold, crackling blues, and towering red comets lit the sky, as cheers echoed across the stands. The much-anticipated "Trainwreck" lived up to its name, delivering a thunderous, chaotic blast of color that left the crowd cheering.

For many, the final Boomtown was bittersweet-a celebration of years of summer nights, small-town pride, and shared memories.

"Boomtown has been part of our summers for so long," said one longtime attendee. "It's more than fireworks. It's what brings everyone together."

Though the fireworks may have gone dark, the legacy of Boomtown-and that unforgettable Trainwreck-will live on in the stories told for years to come.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to all who have been involved in the fireworks displays over the years. It definitely has given us all memories to share for generations.
