On Wednesday, September 10th, 11 members visited Farm Service in Vinton, Iowa, where they explored key topics in agronomy and agriculture. They learned about the science of managing soil and crops for high yields, the role of ethanol as a renewable fuel, recruitment opportunities with Farm Service, the impact of soybean cyst nematodes, the process of harvesting with a combine, and the many services Farm Service provides to farmers.

Senior Andrew Allsup shared, "My favorite session was the soil pit. The scientist was very knowledgeable and taught me a lot. Overall, it was a great experience."

Thank you FS for continuing to offer this event to our members.
