Benton County Conservation and the Old Creamery Nature Trail are working to develop the newest trailhead located in Vinton. The new location of the OCNT Trailhead is located off of 13th Street past Kwik Star and just west of the FS plant.

Seeing the benefits the trail brings to the community, Vinton Unlimited has donated just under $8,400 to Benton County Conservation for the placement of an informative trailhead sign. The information provided on the sign will invite visitors to explore Vinton. After weighing the facts and comparing the project to the mission of Vinton Unlimited (to foster community improvements and promote the Vinton area as a great place to live, shop, work, and play), the VU Board of Directors voted to make the contribution from their portion of the Local Option Sales Tax funds.

This sign will be displayed at the entrance of the Vinton Trailhead and will offer trail head identification, a map, along with directional and way-finding information. Also located on the sign will be a QR code directing visitors to the Vinton Unlimited website (www.vinton.info). The website offers community information, such as guides to local dining and entertainment, calendar of community events, and information on self-guided tours available in the Vinton area.

According to Benton County Conservation, placement of the trailhead sign will be completed by Spring 2026.
