News : One week to Boomtown & Boomfest; final preparations continue

The little white lines painted on Fourth Street in downtown Vinton are there to mark the spots where the booths will be set up for Boomfest next weekend, when the Iowa Pyrotechnic Association and Vinton Unlimited hold their annual Boomtown and Boomfest events.

The Marine Corps League, lead by Howard Purdy of Shellsburg will be presenting our Flag. The Marine Corps League is made up of retired and former active duty Marines. The flag will be raised and retired by active and reserve duty Marine Corp members. The Iowa Pyrotechnic Association will provide the 'Rockets Red Glare and Bombs Bursting in Air.' Be there to experience it.
