Staff at Virginia Gay Hospital (VGH) recently participated in a Tabletop Disaster Preparedness Training focused on emergency readiness and coordinated response.

The interactive tabletop exercise allowed staff to walk through simulated disaster scenarios, emphasizing communication, teamwork, and departmental coordination. This type of training helps ensure staff are prepared to respond efficiently while maintaining patient safety and continuity of care.

“Preparedness is essential to the safety of our patients, staff, and community,” said Tina Eden. “This training reinforces our commitment to being ready to respond confidently and effectively in times of need.”

Virginia Gay Hospital routinely conducts preparedness training to strengthen emergency response capabilities and support the health and safety of the community it serves.
