Friday evening
The TGIF event at the Fairgrounds kicks off with a beer tent which opens at 6 p.m. There will be food vendors that will have their products available, as well.
The Boogie Woogers will begin their classic rock and roll show at 8 p.m., followed by a preview of the Saturday fireworks show.
Saturday
7 a.m. until 11 a.m. Boomtown begin at the Fairgrounds with Chris Cakes, enjoy a bit of fun with your pancakes breakfast!

5 K Run
Get your running gear out!
The Vinton Kiwanis "Bring the Noise" 5k run starts on the Benton County Courthouse lawn.
10:00 a.m.
Boom-Fest begins! Vinton Unlimited Director Nathan Hesson said that over 50 vendors have purchased space for the arts and craft show and Farmer's Market. Several food vendors will also offer a variety of items.
Radio personalities from 96.5 FM will broadcast from 10 a.m. to noon from downtown Vinton.
Chain saw artist Brian Parr will be carving from 10a.m.-1pm.
11:00 a.m.
There will be a benefit ride for Special Olympics starting at Ron Da Voo, Click for all of the details!
11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Entertainment for Boom-Fest including the band "New Trick", and inflatables and rock climbing for the kids.
Throughout the day on Saturday, Iowa Pyrotechnic Association (IPA) members will be busy setting up their displays. A countdown clock will begin at noon, and offer hourly reminders as the big show approaches.

3:30-4:15 p.m.
Youngville (Hwy. 218 & Hwy. 30) will be hosting Annual Lincoln Highway tour. There will be antique cars to view.
4:00 p.m.
The Fairgrounds gates open at 4 p.m. Admission to the Fairgrounds is free; parking is $10 per vehicle. Admission to the grandstands is $5 per person, and $10 for the "Boombox" seating in front.
The beer tent and food vendors also open at 4 p.m. The band Jampact will begin playing there at 6 p.m.
The IPA fireworks demonstration begins at dusk, followed by the bigger-than-ever Grand Finale and the pyrotechnic train wreck.
Veridian Credit Union is the title sponsor of Boomtown again this year.
