This website and its reach continue to absolutely amaze me! Just a few months ago, I noted that we had reached 8,500 followers on the Facebook page...Today, I noticed that we had quietly passed that 9,000 mark!
I'm incredibly grateful to all of you who follow there, or subscribe to the daily email with the latest news updates and to those who send in news, photos, share events, or say, "Hey, did you know..."
You are all the best of the best, and I'm glad to have you in this ever-expanding circle linking Vinton.
Welcome to the newest Facebook members, thank you to all of you faithful readers and news submitters, you are all the very best!
On another note, the website is undergoing a code transplant, or is it a code/facelift or is it both? Wes and I have been working on this project for months now (Wes obviously on the hard part, me on the "can you make it do this" part) and when it comes time to do this it always involves money.
This is the part I absolutely hate about running the site...asking for money. If you can spare a donation to this effort, now would be a great time to donate. Unfortunately, donations are not tax-deductible.
Vinton has wrapped its arms around this site from the beginning, and I appreciate all that you guys and gals have done to make this the success that it is.
If you would like to donate via Venmo, you can do so HERE or if you prefer to send in a check, the address is:
Vinton Today
P.O. Box 7
Vinton, Iowa 52349
Donations will be passed along to my awesome web designer, maintenance guy and all around awesome person, Wesley.
A special thank you to Wesley for keeping this online, preserving Vinton's history on the site and making sure that the website continues to do all that it does to reach all who want all things Vinton in their world, you're the best!
From an appreciative gal, who is continuously amazed by this adventure, thank you Vinton, former Vintonians and to you who might just know someone who lives here. I'm grateful for the opportunity that you've given me.
God bless you all,
Valerie
