Is your float ready for this year's Party in the Park Parade?

No, not your root beer float—although anyone handing these out on a hot July afternoon might impress the crowd!

The countdown is on for one of Vinton's favorite summer traditions as the Party in the Park Parade rolls through town on Saturday, July 18, 2026. There's still plenty of time to gather your friends, family, coworkers, club members, neighbors, or even that one person with a garage full of decorations and put together a parade entry.

The best part? There's no registration required. Simply show up and join the fun.

Participants should line up at the Benton County Fairgrounds beginning at 4:00 p.m. The parade will step off at 5:00 p.m. and follow the traditional route through town, ending at the courthouse.

Whether your creation is patriotic, whimsical, hilarious, or simply covered in enough streamers to be seen from space, organizers are looking forward to seeing the community's creativity on full display.

So dust off the trailer, fire up the decorating committee, and start brainstorming. Before you know it, the streets will be lined with smiling faces, candy-seeking kids, and plenty of hometown spirit.

The Party in the Park Parade is ready to roll. The only question is—will your float be in it?
