News UICCU matching grant program will help replant Vinton trees

     The University of Iowa Community Credit Union is helping to restore the greenery in Benton County.

     During September, the credit union sponsored a matching campaign which raised $1965 for the Trees Forever Recover, Replant & Restore Program.    

     The storm that struck Benton and surrounding counties on July 11, 2011 destroyed more than 75% of the trees in the City of Vinton. Pictured at the check presentation are: John Myers and Mark Signs from Trees Forever, Cynthia Elwick who donated $1000 to the effort in memory of her father W.J.
