The Veteran’s Lighted PATRIOTIC Christmas Parade, will take place again this year in Vinton, just before the first arrival of Santa for the holiday season.
Line up begins at 5:30 p.m.Thursday Evening, Nov. 17, east and south of the MethodistChurch, on 6th Streetand Second Avenue. The parade begins at 6. The VFW, American Legion and AMVETS organizations of Vinton are sponsoring the event. The theme is "Veterans Thanking Hometown, USA."
Considering the support received from the Citizens and Business’ of BentonCounty, the local veterans organizations felt a Parade would be one way to help give you and enlighten your CHRISTMAS SPIRIT.
If you’d like to “march” in the Parade, put a float in the Parade, or just come to watch, ALL are welcome!! (Please, no Santa, as he is already here from the North Pole)... Also, please USE a Christmas OR Patriotic theme!! NOTE: A Float for our WWII, Korean War, & Vietnam Vets will be furnished for these local Heros. Please meet at 6th Streetand 2nd Ave.by the Methodist Church at 5:45P.M.

After the Parade, Santa will arrive at the Benton County Courthouse.
