Virginia Gay Hospital and Nursing and Rehab are celebrating Halloween with a pumpkin judging contest. Each department created a unique pumpkin and the residents will judge the entries and choose their favorite in several categories on Halloween, Monday, Oct. 31.

The staff and residents also remind area children that trick-or-treaters are welcome this evening!

The pumpkins featured a variety of designs, from Cinderalla to a Jack 'O Lantern fearing being turned into a pie. A cat, M & M candy, and even a Christmas and Thanksgiving pumpkin were also included. Another display honored the several VGH employees who have had babies this year.

The pumpkins are on display through today in the main cafeteria of the Nursing & Rehab Center.

(Editor\'s Note: Anyone can see them for the next few days.)
