The traditional Vinton Parks and Recreation downtown Halloween event took place Saturday, as hundreds of children dressed in creative costumes and played games on the courthouse lawn and went trick-or-treating at downtown stores. There was also a special showing of the movie "Casper"' at the Vinton Palace.
