News : Great American Smoke-Out: Kits offered to those trying to quit

The Great American Smoke-Out is Thursday, Nov. 17; survival kits are available.

Thursday, Nov. 17, is the annual Great American Smoke-Out (GASO).

In order to provide assistance to those trying to quit, the Benton County Area Substance Abuse Council (ASAC) office in Vinton is offering “Survivor’s Kits” for free to those who want to go a day without cigarettes. The kids include a pencil and pen, stress ball, gum and other items designed to occupy the hands and mouths of those who often use cigarettes to occupy them.
